2026 ANNUAL MEETING AGENDA

Slinger High School Performing Arts Center

 

  • 4pm Voter Registration begins at the Slinger High School Performing Arts Center
  • 5pm Business Meeting
  • 6pm Voting Begins
  • 7:30 Voting Ends

1     5:00 p.m.  Call to order and introductions.

Determine compliance with meeting notice requirements, roll call of commissioners, list voting eligibility regulations and obtain approval of the minutes of the last Annual Meeting, August 21, 2024.

2     Nominations for Commissioner openings:

NOTE: There are two (2) Commissioner openings for a 3-year term from August 2026 to August 2029. Current commissioners Christopher Genthe and Christina Fiasca have indicated their intent to run as candidates for these openings. All candidates interested, MUST be nominated from the floor.

NOMINATIONS FOR COMMISSIONERS WILL CLOSE AT 5:30 p.m. Anyone nominated from the floor at the meeting, that previously did not contact the PRD office of running for election, will not have their name on the ballot, but there will be space on the ballot to write-in their names. Ballots to elect Commissioners must be deposited in the Ballot Box by 7:30 p.m. or shortly thereafter if in line at 7:30 p.m.

4     Presentation of the 2025 Audit

5     Public Hearing on the 2027 Budget and the 2026 tax levy to be collected in 2027.

6     Approve the Lake District replacing the roof of the district office/shop building located at 4480 Gonring Drive for a cost not to exceed $75,000.

7     Approve the Lake District making shoreline repairs and improvements to the south side of Gonring Drive launch area for a cost not to exceed $22,500

8     BCLPRD Winter/Summer Water Safety Patrol Reports

9     BCLPRD Operations and Weed Harvesting Reports

10   Update and summaries on Phase I and Phase II Comprehensive Plans (Presentation from Justin Poinsatte/Principal Specialist-Biologist from SE WI Regional Planning Commission

11   Chairman’s Report

12   Public comments and Voting Commencement

Lake district residents in attendance will be able to take the podium for a maximum of 3 minutes to ask questions, explain concerns, and to provide the board with any information they would like to share.

Voting will commence on the following items:

  • Commissioner openings
  • 2027 Budget and Tax Levy to be collected in 2027
  • Approval of the Lake District to replace the roof of the district/office shop building for a cost not to exceed $75,000
  • Approval of the Lake District to make shoreline repairs and improvements to the south side of the Gonring Drive Launch area, for a cost not to exceed $22,500

Depositing of ballots will end promptly at 7:30 p.m. unless there are voters still in line waiting to deposit their ballots. Those still in line at 7:30 p.m. will be allowed to deposit their ballots in the locked boxes.

13   7:30 p.m.  End of Voting and Collection and Counting of ballots.

*After the ballots are collected and counted, the results will be announced to those in attendance at the meeting.
