Not all of the litter on roadways comes from cars, it can also come from folks who have put their trash in a trash cart or recycling bin.

As it gets windy, these bins can blow open and the trash and recycling items from them will sometimes fly out of the bin and onto the roads or into waterways. This can be unsightly and we can all do our part to keep it in the carts and out of the lake.

In order to help combat this problem, please only place trash that is in bags into the trash and recycling carts.

Having clean roadways is one of the best ways to keep our neighborhoods and the lake clean and safe.
