HIGH WATER EMERGENCY rescinded

Friday, April 24, 2026 11am

As of Friday, April 24, 2026 at 11am, BCL's level was at approximately 2.25" over the Ordinary High Water Mark (OHWM).

Thank you to the Cedar Lake's Conservation Foundation for monitoring the water levels at the dam since the heavy rainfalls last week.

Ordinance 93-1.08 (6)(b) When the water level recedes to a level that is 3" or less above the ordinary high-water mark at the dam or other approved measuring location(s), the high-water emergency will be rescinded and the restrictions in subsection a) above will no longer be in effect. (full ordinance can be read below)

This means that we are back to observing the Big Cedar Lake Protection & Rehabilitation Ordinance 93-1 (full ordinance here under Launch and Summer Ordinance)
